I have never seen a desk chair like this one…usually they are more like the Pottery Barn style chairs, straight lines and dark stain. This one is more ornate with a taller back and what appears to be hand carved spindles. It is adjustable several different ways…you can raise and lower it, as well as adjust the spring so that you can lean back farther or make the spring stiffer so that it the chair just stays upright. One wheel does seem to want to fall out when the chair is picked up, and I would guess that the wheels are not original. $85
The desk is a secretary style, so that you can tuck all of your bill paying mess out of the way. It also has shelves underneath to decorate or put books on. It is solid oak, and is a great petite style so that it will fit in the smallest of spaces! We had it sitting at the head of our stairs, and was a pretty cool focal point as you were heading up the stairs. $115
